2008
Acquisition of Helisud Maroc, Morocco's first helicopter operator, with the introduction of AS350 (Astar) operations.
2012
Helisud Maroc becomes HELICONIA; launching Heliconia Safety Integrated, a centralised and standardised Safety Management System (SMS)
2013
First EMS Helicopter contract for the Moroccan Ministry of Health; initiation of a 3-year live line work contract in Morocco.
2014
Heliconia is appointed as an official distributor and Service Center for Leonardo helicopters and related products, further expanding its capabilities.
2015
- Deployment of 4 x EMS helicopters for the Ministry of Health in Morocco.
- Heliconia Senegal is launched, and the Senegalese Air Operator Certificate (AOC) is successfully obtained, marking a new chapter of growth in West Africa.
2016-2018
Our oil and gas operations continue to grow, with notable expansions into Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Liberia, São Tomé & Príncipe, and onshore AW139 helicopter operations in Gabon.
2019
Heliconia secures a long-term partnership with BP, marking a major milestone in our journey.
2020
We enter the Ghanaian market through a contract with ENI and establish Heliconia EAS Ghana to support our growing presence in the region.
2021
Heliconia wins a significant contract with Woodside, introduces the SAR HHO Level 2 service, and welcomes CDC as a strategic partner in Heliconia Senegal.
2023
A successful contract is awarded with Tullow, along with the implementation of a new AOC, and the renewal of a long-term contract with ENI.
2024
Heliconia strengthens its relationships by renewing long-term contracts with both BP and WES, ensuring continued success in the years to come
