Heliconia Group’s Joint Venture, HEAS Ghana, Secures Major Contract with Tullow Oil Ghana
We are pleased to announce that in July 2023, HEAS Ghana, the joint venture between Heliconia Group, EcoAlpha Services and Pegasus, was awarded a significant contract by Tullow Oil Ghana. The agreement, spanning five years with an additional two-year extension option, will involve providing helicopter services with two AW139 helicopters. In parallel, HEAS Ghana has implemented a sharing agreement between ENI Ghana and Tullow Ghana for both IOCs to share a backup helicopter.
Supporting Offshore Operations in Takoradi
HEAS Ghana’s operational base is located in Takoradi Military Airport, a key hub for offshore oil and gas activities in country. This is not the first time HEAS has made its mark in Ghana; since 2020, the company has successfully operated two AW139 helicopters for ENI Ghana, supporting their block 4 and block OCTP projects.
Crew Change, Medevac and HARK for Tullow Oil
Under this new contract, HEAS Ghana will provide daily crew change services and maintain a 24/7 medevac stand-by for the Tullow Oil vessels. The AW139 helicopters, renowned for their reliability and efficiency, will be crucial in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of personnel, as well as offering rapid response in case of medical emergencies.
This new contract further strengthens Heliconia’s position as a trusted provider of helicopter services in the West African region.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to expand and support offshore activities in Ghana and beyond!
