EAS Ghana Secures Air Operator Certificate, Enhancing Commercial Flight Operations for HEAS Ghana
We are excited to share that on October 9th, 2023, EAS Ghana, a shareholder of HEAS Ghana, successfully obtained its Ghanaian Air Operator Certificate (AOC). This important milestone not only signifies EAS Ghana’s compliance with the highest safety and operational standards but also paves the way for HEAS Ghana to expand its service offerings within the region.
Empowering HEAS Ghana’s Aviation Services
With the successful implementation of its Ghanian AOC, HEAS Ghana is now fully authorised to perform a range of commercial aviation operations both in Ghana and throughout Africa. This includes passenger transport, cargo transport, medical evacuation (medevac), HARK missions (Helicopter Airborne Rescue Kit) and transporting Dangerous Goods — all essential services for the oil and gas sector as well as other industries requiring specialised aviation support.
By achieving this certification, HEAS Ghana continues to strengthen its role as a reliable and comprehensive aviation service provider in Ghana, enhancing its ability to support commercial operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. This important step also demonstrates Heliconia’s commitment towards Local Content in Ghana and allows for more long-term local initiatives and investments in country. With the set-up of the AOC, Heliconia has already been able to invest in training and induction of national pilots and engineers and will continue to develop its training program.
